Hot child in the city

A couple of months ago, Gospel Voom's of Gos little kitty Archibald was hit by a car. The brave little thing dragged himself home, and Gospel rushed him to the animal hospital, and while the sweet kitty survived he needed extensive vet care. And so the community came to Gospel's help and set up a charity fund to help with the vet bill.

Now Archie is on the mend, and Gospel has decided to pay it forward. All of his new releases will have a speical limited edition that all proceeds will go to PDSA which stands for "People's Dispensary for Sick Animals." For those who already have the boot; you can buy Archie's color as a polish too. I'm wearing the cute, cute special color for the Triumph boots.

Go pink for October

I don't often get on the soap box, but I think this blog post is going to be more soap boxy than fashiony. October is the national Breast Cancer Awareness month. It is estimated that in 2012, that of 226,870 women will be dianogsed with and 39, 510 will die from breast cancer. The statistics are staggering.

 Breast cancer is something that has touched each and everyone of us in some way or another. My maternal grandmother died from it. I remember being 10, and my mom sitting down and talking to me about it, about the importance of the breast self-examination. At the same time, my mom was worried that she too might have breast cancer. It really opened my eyes.

So get envolved; donate, participate in a Susan G. Komen race, become a Susan G. Komen advocate. Go Pink for October, get envolved, stand with those whom breast cancer has touched. Yes, I'm wearing pink in Second Life, but I'm getting envolved in real life too. My family and I will be participating in the next race in Columbus.

Pumpkin patch

One of the best things about fall, is the colors. Another fun thing about fall is carving pumpkins! I'm really bad at it, I never seem to get the jack-o-lantern as scary as I'd like. But it's something fun to do. I also love to bake pumpkin seeds.

If you have even a slightly addictive personality, gacha is dangerous to your wallet. I've never really played gacha before, till I went to The Arcarde. And well, I'm addicted. What makes gacha so much worse is you don't get the option of what color you want. If you want the pink one, you gotta play till you get the pink. And it's do darn addictive! I think by the time The Arcade ends I'll have alll the mouse ears, and the camera, and the piggy banks, and... and... and....

Lets take a walk

I was finally able to get into The Arcade after like, three days of attempting. Some really, really cool stuff! The Arcade is a quarterly gacha event. And please note, that the Arcade has just opened so expect lag. Please take off unnecessary scripts and huds, to make going easy. You don't need your dance huds, or your ball gowns, everyone is busy looking at the pretty items and shopping.

Now that PSA has been announced, on to what Lyrical is wearing. I have a weakness for oversized shirts. They're just sooo comfortable. And they look cute when paired with tights! As the seasons change in real life, I find I am enjoying dressing Lyrical is autumn styled clothing.

For me, my autumn wardrobe staples are oversized sweaters, tights, and boots. And layers. Can't forget the layers!

Lyrical Designs

For the last several months, I've been learning how to create poses. I've even used a few in my blog posts. I can honestly say, I've been kinda of leary about posting my poses on Lyrical's Closet, because sometimes I find myself doubting my work. Oh my gosh! Ya'll get treated to two blog posts in one day. Lucky! So apparently late last night or early today, Pink Fuel released Kumi. For those who are Pink Fuel fans, you've probably been waiting anxiously for this lovely lady. Well, she's here!

Home, sweet Home

I love the ability to keep home in Second Life. I love that my husband allows me to decorate our home in which ever way I feel. It's something he knows I enjoy doing, and I think if it weren't for me, he'd be living in a cardboard box. :D Generally, I tend to keep to the same shops, because I know what I like, I know I get good quality, and I know it looks good.

Ever since my first house I bought, I've kept with Funky Junk. This one is no different, I believe this one of Ulaa's older ones, but it's a lovely three room cottage. (oh yeah, I know ya'll were expecting the new Salinas house, weren't ya, weren't ya? :D) First off, I love the pretty green panelling. The porch is spacious, and roomy. It's a little cottage I could totally see smushed into a woody grove, with trees growing all around it.

Dance Like Noone's Watching

Totally enjoying the married life here. Maybe I'll get over my spell of laziness, since at least my hunny likes my blog. Or maybe it's just that gives him a hour or so without me nagging him? Well, he reads it at least.

So, I've totally had my eye on these boots since they came out. I liked them so much, I bought them in two colors. I don't usually go for shoes, mostly wander around barefoot. But these were one of those, "I like them, I want them, I HAVE to have them" kinda buys. As I do enjoy dressing for the changing of the seasons, I can see me wearing them a lot.

We did it!

First of all, my hunny-bunny and I tied the knot at 12 noon SLT, on August19th. Everything was down right perfect. My stayed stable through out the day, and I only crashed once. And he didn't crash at all. Yaaaaay! All of our friends came out to help us celebrate our day. It was just absolutely beautiful.

I think our crashing problems were pushed on to two of our party members, instead. :p

Secondly, I dunno why Lyrical's Closet has fallen to the wayside. I just haven't been really up to posting every single day as I used to. Lots of things have gone on in the past months, and sometimes I'm just not really up to making the outfit, finding poses and scenery, and taking the photos. One of the new things going on, is I've been hired on as an column writer for a new online magazine and radio station. That's taken up a lot of my time.

I've also had my time stole, still, by the KittyCats.

It's almost here!

If I'd been a good little blogger, you'd know I'm getting married August 19th. In a week and half. Oh my gosh! My fiance and I are the King and Queen of procrastination.... we've been engaged for months. Months! And we're just now finalizing the guest lists, the music, getting his tux, getting my dress, finding an officiant, finding an venue, finding a dj, getting the rings! Whoo. We'll make it!

I'd totally post a picture of my dress, but he stalks the blog. He can't see me till noon Sunday the 19th. Wheee!
