Meet Me in the Secret Garden

So I had written up this post on Hime Gyaru, a Japanese street fashion, but then I thought screw it. I figured I'd let the photos speak for themselves. Kinda. Hime Gyaru litterally translates to Princess Gal. The whole gist of the fashion, if you will, is living like a princess. It's a very feminine style. Unlike Lolita (which I've mentioned before) hime gyaru doesn't have as many strict guidelines, so it was very easy to do this look. And doesn't Lyrical look adorable?

Sing it!

Music is a big part of my life. Both my fiance and I love music. Our favorite thing to do is to spend time with him spinning tunes for friends (or just for me!) So when I saw this pose by HISpose, I just had to have to have it. That seems a common theme with me yeah? I see it, I just HAVE to have it, I buy it. And then I blog it. So it all works out, yeah?

I've had these pants by Aura for a while now, and no top to wear with! Oh noes! But this adorable top by Jane just looks smashing with the tweed.  Well, Lyrical thinks so. It makes her feel like a little diva even, so out comes her handy-dandy-trusty hairbrush microphone. And she belts it at the top of her lungs, pretending she's Sharon den Adel (aka the gorgeous vocalist of Within Temptation). The Truth hair is absolutely gorgeous, and I love Truth's textures. He has some of the best browns.

From the look of things, Lyrical's hunny-bunny isn't listening to a note she belts.

It's officially summer!

And Lyrical celebrates it in the right way. She puts on her adorable new bikini, covers it with a cute cover up, accentuates with her adorable sunhat, and slid her feet into a cute pair of a sandals. Then she makes her way to the beach. Memorial day is the start of summer, where the pools open, and people spend weekends at the beach. Schools out for summer for most. For those of us in America, Memorial Day is a holiday to celebrate and remember those who have fought in our Armed Forces.

The dress is a group gift from a new-to-me store,Jane. It comes in 3 colors, and it is mesh. Oh, I loves mesh! And it matches my hair scarf. I'm in looooooove!

Lyrical goes to Japan!

In her totally adorable Viewing Party Walolita Kimono. I mean, how cute is it? It's got flowers! And butterflies! Lyrical has always wanted to visit Japan, so she hoped on a TP and to Japan she went. Actually it was Edo-era themed Japan, so maybe her kimono was a tad inappropriate?

Hairbrush Diva

Oh, yeah. We all do it. Don't pretend you don't. We all snatch up that hairbrush, and belt into it at the top of our lungs, pretending we're some awesome diva. Can't you just hear the crowd roar? Maybe they're begging me to shut up. Who knows? Who cares? Do you? Not me! So this is another Bitch Tail blog because, this is my main "I'm at home, and I'm lazy" outfit. What better to dance and sing into a hairbrush in, than your lazy outfit? Remember the couples post? I mentioned all Bitch Tail outfits are 98 Lindens. Oh yeah. Ninety-eight Lindens. Full outfits too! Oh. My. God! Can't beat that at all. I had way too much fun with this one. I got Lyrical dancing, and started taking snap-shots. I didn't realize it, but I had 31 raw photos to go through. Eeep! They're all good, so I picked the best.

Oh, yeah, I can totally hear him saying this. For a full visual, add a hip thrust and victory dance too. This is probably why Lyrical looks so unamused. So he's been begging,and pleading for me to make more mention of him in the blog, so turn about is fair. He's still doing his victory dance. Anyway; this is the new 100% mesh outfit for men and women by Bitch Tail. Good thing about Bitch Tail is all of Tiff's outfits (excluding the fat packs) are 98 Lindens. And they are usually full outfits (shoes included). I would give his credits too, but he doesn't know them.o.O But he's wearing the men's version of the outfit.

Firefly Garden

I love my firefly garden I have. It's soo sweet and pretty, and romantic. And oh em gee, just look at those lovely eyes! Damien Fate did a wonderful job on 'em, and these are my everyday eyes. Just love, love, love that green!

Darling Little House

I've had my eye on this house ever since I discovered Funky*Junk. It's a darling little house, with a living room, spacious kitchen, large bedroom,with a little loft and small room off of the bedroom(perfect for a bathroom). It's got a wrap around porch! Perfect country-side house. I've had my heart set on a country cottage admist rolling hills and wildflowers,and I'm this much closer to that! I haven't yet had a chance to do much landscaping (hey, I just moved in yesterday!) but I've been a busy girl decorating the inside. I don't want to bog down with a whole lot of pictures, so I'll just post a few.

Lyrical goes to Africa!

I have some of the best friends in SecondLife. One of them is the owner of Africa. And I got a private tour! How cool is that? The sim itself is gorgeous. Just, absolutely gorgeous. Miss Erin spent a lot of time creating the savannahs, with the tall, tall grass that I totally got lost in!

New York, New York

One of the cool things about SecondLife is the ability to travel to places I might not get to visit (either because I can't afford to, or because they just don't exist outside of SecondLife). I've been to New York once before, but not really visited. But when I opened the Destination Guide tonight, I saw New York,and thought what the hell?!. So I totally channeled in inner-fashionista, and tped on over. This little inner-fashionista outfit is totally based on layers. 'Cause, layers are totally cool.

Sunset

I love sunset, and sunrise. Something about the red and yellow painting the sky is gorgeous, breathtaking. It makes you stop, smell the roses, count your blessings. I'd been seeing this lovely sim on the blogs lately, and so I hopped on over. And man, it is gorgeous. I couldn't help but take a few photos. 

Daydreamer

Collabor88 is open, and the theme this round is "Daydream". So as usual, I hopped on down to see what it was all about, and came upon this gorgeous necklace by League. The cool part about this necklace is it is one continuous sky, moving from frame to frame.

Beachin'

First things first; there is this lovely, adorable hair by Exile, availiable ONLY at Culture Shock. It's a high side pony tail,with thick asymmetrically cut bangs. The bands on the pony are color changed. It's just so. sooo. cute! I saw it on Willis's blog. 

Lunch at the Cafe

More Culture shock! One hundred and some odd designers, man, it's hard not going shop-crazy! So I've had this outfit on alllllll day,and I totally, totally love mesh. Even though I enjoyed myself at Culture Shock today, I've been feeling kinda sick today. You wouldn't believe how many shots I took today to get this snapshot. Just, woah. 

Culture Shocked!

I've been hearing (and seeing) lovely things about Culture Shock, and so I finally skedaddled down. Culture Shock is a fashion event running till May 26th. It's also a charity event for Doctors with no borders.  I really enjoyed looking around, and couldn't resist picking up a few things. 

Lazy Day

Mmm.... Yeah. Right. I had about enough time to log in, snap this photo, do a little jazzing up, and then sneaked some time to write up this blog. I do my own laundry, I'm a big girl. It's easy enough to put some quarters in the machine, load it,press a button. But the laundry of the others living in this house has been piling up, and up, and up. Including towels (mine gets tossed with my clothes, but still). So.... It's like you toss on the worst things in your closet because they're so bad you won't wear 'em any other time laundry day. Ri-dic-u-lous.

Falling

Sometimes I dream I am falling.Falling, falling, falling. It's just empty space down below, like I'd keep falling forever and ever. I look up, and there is nothing above me. And so I fall. It's not really scary, because I know I'll wake eventually. And so, down,down,I fall. 

No Strings Attached!

The Lady Butterfly

So this morning I decided to do a hunt, so I opened the destination guide and hit the first one I saw. That was the Adoness Hunt: the Lady Butterfly. It's a full outfit spaced out in 8 gift boxes. You pay 1 Linden for each box, and I think it's rather worth it. The outfit is sweet and adorable.

Dancing in the flowers

I grew up in the countryside. Where you sit out on your porch, sipping iced tea or lemonade, where you go to church every Sunday, and that evening the family gets together for dinner. There's family spilling out the kitchen, its so loud you can barely hear yourself think. The countryside where you walk barefoot, the grass tickling your feet. I've long since moved from the place I grew up in, but it's nice to get back to your roots.
